Boots that have done the work
Work boots are a favourite on the men’s side: they’re worn for long days, they show it, and every pair has a story. Sellers list steel toe-caps, riggers, hiking boots and site boots, with the brand, the size and roughly how long they’ve been worn.
Plenty of sellers will also wear a pair for you. Ask for extra weeks on site, a particular brand or the socks to go with them, and agree the price before anything is posted.

- Check the size and the brand, and ask for an extra photo if you need one
- Ask how long they’ve been worn and what for
- Agree postage up front: boots are heavier, so they cost more to send
- Read the seller’s reviews from other buyers
- Keep your messages and order on the site, so there’s a record
