These terms are the agreement between you and Scent From Me. Please read them. By creating an account you agree to them, to our Community rules and to our Privacy policy.
1. Who we are
Scent From Me (scentfromme.com, “we”, “us”) is run by Scent From Me Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17553631). Registered office: Unit A, 82 James Carter Road, Mildenhall Industrial Estate, Mildenhall, Suffolk, IP28 7DE. Scent From Me is open to adult members worldwide. You can contact us at support@scentfromme.com.
2. What Scent From Me is
Scent From Me is a members-only marketplace where adults buy and sell worn clothing, underwear, socks, shoes and related items, and take part in features such as the feed, messaging, the wear diary and spin the wheel. We are not a party to any sale. Each sale, booking, spin is an agreement between the buyer and the seller.
We never take or hold your money for a sale. Buyers pay sellers directly using the payment method the seller provides. We are not a bank, payment service or escrow service, and we cannot refund, reverse or guarantee any payment made between members.
3. Who can join
Scent From Me isn't currently available in Nigeria, and we may limit sign-ups from other countries to prevent fraud.
You must be 18 or over (or the age of majority where you live, if higher). Everyone passes an ID and age check before they can use the site, we may ask you to prove your age and identity again at any time, and we close accounts that we believe belong to anyone under 18.
You must give accurate information, keep your login private, and have only one account unless we agree otherwise.
You must be legally allowed to buy, sell and receive the items and services on the site where you live.
4. Your account
You are responsible for everything that happens on your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
Your username must not impersonate anyone, include contact details, or break our Community rules. You can change it once every 30 days.
You can close your account at any time by contacting us. Orders already in progress must still be completed or cancelled properly.
5. Selling
Your listings must be accurate and honest: what the item is, its condition, and how it was worn. Photos must be of the actual item and must not be explicit (see the Community rules).
You are the seller of the item, not us. You are responsible for the item, for posting it securely and discreetly, for any taxes on your sales, and for complying with the law.
Postage, delivery times and any refunds are agreed between you and the buyer. Scent From Me isn't responsible for them.
Seller memberships (Seller and Seller Pro) are paid monthly or for 6 months. They can be cancelled at any time and end at the end of the period you've paid for. We don't give partial refunds unless the law requires it. Prices may change; we'll tell you before a change affects you.
6. Buying
When you tap I want to buy it, the seller is told you're interested and a chat opens. You agree payment there and the seller sets up the order. Nothing is reserved or owed until the seller has set up the order and you've agreed to it.
Only tap “I've paid” once you have actually paid. Falsely claiming to have paid is a breach of these terms.
You buy at your own risk. Because payments go directly between members, we can't recover money for you. Where your payment method offers protection (for example a card or a protected payment service), that protection is between you and that provider.
Worn and personalised items are generally not returnable once sent. Your legal rights against the seller are not affected.
7. Custom orders, the wear diary and spin the wheel
Custom orders are agreed between you and the seller through the site. The agreed price is what the buyer pays the seller.
Spin the wheel: every slice on a seller's wheel must be a real prize the seller will send, and every spin wins one. The odds are shown before you buy. The result is picked by the site at random using those odds, after the seller confirms your payment, and can't be changed. Sellers must send the prize won just like any other order.
The wear diary (Seller Pro): buyers can request a booking for an item to be worn for a set number of days. The seller can accept, decline, or move the start date with a note, and the buyer is updated at every step. An accepted booking is an agreement between the buyer and the seller, paid directly like any other order, and the seller must post the item once it's worn. Once posted, a booking finishes when the buyer confirms it arrived, or automatically 7 days after posting.
Leaderboards only show members who choose to appear on them.
8. Things you must not do
You must follow our Community rules, which form part of these terms. In short: no explicit images, nothing involving anyone under 18, nothing in the prohibited content list, no harassment, no scams or misleading listings, no illegal items, and no trying to get around the site's safety features.
9. Content agreement (photos, listings, posts, messages and profiles)
This section is the agreement between you and us for everything you upload or write on Scent From Me: listing and feed photos, profile pictures, photos in messages, and all text (“your content”). It applies to every member, and in particular to sellers. By uploading anything you confirm that you agree to it.
9.1 Who can appear in your content
Only you may appear in your content. You must be the only person shown in any photo you upload, and you may only upload photos you took yourself or that were taken of you with your agreement. You must not upload photos of any other person, even with their permission.
Everyone who uploads content has passed our ID and age check, carried out by our independent verification provider, Didit, which checks a government-issued photo ID against a live selfie. Because only you may appear, every person shown in content on Scent From Me is an ID-checked adult.
If you appear in content, you confirm that you are 18 or over and that you consent to: (a) being shown in it; (b) it being uploaded to and displayed on Scent From Me to other members; and (c) members viewing it, and, where the site lets them, saving it. You can withdraw this consent at any time by deleting the content or asking us to remove it.
You must keep any evidence of your age, identity and consent that we reasonably ask for, and give it to us on request. We keep the result of your ID and age check (not your ID images, which are held by Didit) for as long as your account exists and as long afterwards as the law requires.
9.2 Prohibited content
You must never upload, write, sell, request or link to anything that is illegal where you or the viewer live, or that breaks the rules that Visa, Mastercard and other card schemes set for adult websites. That includes, without limit, any content that shows, suggests or promotes:
anyone under 18, or anyone who looks or is presented as under 18 (including “age play”, school uniforms presented as a minor's, or words such as “teen” or “barely legal”);
sexual activity of any kind, nudity of genitals, or other explicit content (Scent From Me does not allow explicit content at all);
anyone who has not consented, or cannot consent: non-consensual, forced, coerced, drugged, sleeping, intoxicated or hidden-camera content, and “revenge” or leaked material;
incest or incest role-play, including step-family themes;
bestiality or any sexual content involving animals;
violence, rape, abuse, torture, blood, snuff or gore;
real people other than you, including celebrities and public figures, and anything that impersonates someone;
human trafficking, sex trafficking, prostitution, escorting, or any service involving meeting in person;
weapons, drugs, bodily fluids sold on their own, used medical items, or anything else on the Community rules' “not allowed for sale” list;
AI-generated, altered or deepfaked images of people. Scent From Me has no AI generation features, and photos must be real, unaltered photos of you and your actual items (cropping, blurring your face and hiding tattoos or backgrounds are fine).
9.3 How we check content
Every photo is checked before other members can see it. Listing photos, feed photos, profile pictures and photos sent in messages are scanned automatically for explicit content and for faces that may belong to someone under 18. Anything flagged is held for a person on our team to review, and is only published if it meets these terms.
Text is checked against a list of blocked words and phrases covering the prohibited categories above.
We may remove any content, at any time, without notice, if we believe it breaks these terms or the law.
9.4 Your licence to us
You keep ownership of your photos and words. You give us a licence to store, display and adapt them (for example resizing photos or adding a watermark) so we can run the site. You must own, or have the right to post, everything you post.
9.5 If you break this agreement
We will remove the content, may suspend or permanently close your account, and will report anything involving a child or other serious illegal activity to the police and to the relevant authorities (in the UK, the National Crime Agency and the Internet Watch Foundation). We keep records needed to do this.
10. Reports, complaints and removal requests
Members can report any member, listing, post, comment or message using the Report button.
Anyone, member or not, can report content or ask for content to be removed using our public Report content page, or by emailing support@scentfromme.com. This includes anyone who appears in content and did not consent to it.
We review and resolve every report and complaint within 5 business days, and tell the person who made it what we did.
Content that appears to be illegal, to show someone under 18, or to have been posted without the consent of a person in it is removed immediately while we investigate.
If a person shown in content asks for it to be removed, it is taken down straight away. It is only restored if we can confirm the person consented and that the consent is valid. If consent can't be confirmed, the content stays removed permanently.
If you disagree with a decision about whether consent was valid, you can ask for it to be decided by an independent, neutral mediator, which we will pay for.
We may hide content, suspend or close accounts, and keep records, especially where safety or the law is involved. We share information with the police or other authorities where the law requires or allows it.
A pattern of breaking our Community rules and/or bad feedback from other members will result in your account being suspended, with no refund of any membership time you have left.
11. Disputes between members
Try to sort problems out with the other member first using messages. If that doesn't work, report it. We'll look into it and may take action on accounts, but we can't force a refund or make a payment on anyone's behalf.
12. Our responsibility to you
We provide the site “as is”. We work to keep it running and safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free.
We are not responsible for items, payments, or the conduct of members, because we are not a party to sales between members.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us in membership fees in the 12 months before the problem.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site grows. We'll tell members about important changes before they take effect. If you keep using the site after that, the new terms apply.
14. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with any dispute. If you're a consumer living outside England and Wales, mandatory consumer-protection laws where you live may still apply to you, and nothing here takes away rights you can't give up under those laws.
