What happens next
We look at it straight away. Every report alerts our team immediately.
Urgent content comes down first. If it may be illegal, may show someone under 18, or someone in it says they didn't consent, it's removed while we investigate.
We investigate. We check the content, the account and the account's ID verification, and ask the member for evidence of consent where needed.
We decide and tell you within 5 business days: removed, account suspended or closed, or no breach found (with our reasons).
We report crimes. Anything involving a child or other serious crime is reported to the police, the National Crime Agency and the Internet Watch Foundation, and we keep the records they need.
